He explains the platform layout and shows how to move from market context and charting into option chains and trade entry. Using McCormick (MKC) as a real-time example, Teddy demonstrates how he applies technical analysis to identify trend direction, key support and resistance levels and potential strike prices.
From there, the session focuses on strategy selection based on market outlook. Teddy explains how covered calls can help stockholders generate premium in a downtrending market, then contrasts that with a long straddle when the goal is to position for movement in either direction. He walks through the mechanics of building the trade, placing it in the paper account and visualizing break-even levels relative to expiration. Throughout, he addresses audience questions, reinforcing that the goal is not to copy trades but to learn how to evaluate scenarios, define risk and avoid setups that do not match the market environment.
