US stock futures surged Sunday evening and carried into Monday morning following news of a breakthrough agreement to end the US and Iran war ahead of a holiday-shortened trading week. Dow futures climbed more than 400 points, or 0.6%, while S&P 500 futures gained 0.8%. Nasdaq 100 futures led the advance, jumping over 600 points or 2% as investors rotated back into growth and technology names. President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social late Sunday that a deal with Iran had been finalized, calling the agreement “complete.” Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said a formal signing ceremony is expected to take place Friday in Switzerland. Markets soared following the announcement, with Trump saying he had authorized the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, while Iran is also due to receive a serious of financial boons for following US agreements. WTI crude falls nearly 5% as traders price in a reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and potential easing of sanctions on Iran.
In Asian markets, The Nikkei Index jumped 3,297 points or around 5% to 69,317, the Shanghai Index gained 65 points to 4,096, and the Hang Seng Index adds 124 points to 24,842. In Europe, the German DAX is up 300 points to 24,938, while the FTSE 100 rises 12 points to 10,483. Cryptocurrencies rejoice at Iran deal news as Bitcoin and Ethereum see sizeable bounces, bouncing further off recent June 5th lows. Bitcoin held the 60K level this month and is now +2.55% around $65,600 and Ethereum up around 3% at $1,720. The CBOE Volatility index or VIX -5.2% at 16.76 in sharp reversal from last week highs above 23.38 on 6/9. Looking ahead, investors will focus on key economic reports, while also awaiting the Federal Reserve’s latest policy decision. According to CME FedWatch, markets are pricing in better than a 98% probability that policymakers leave interest rates unchanged. This will be the first FOMC meeting with new Fed Chair Kevin Warsh as the heads, while former Chairman Powell fills a governor slot for now.

- President Donald Trump said the Strait of Hormuz will reopen to commercial shipping on Friday following the formal signing of a U.S.-Iran peace agreement, marking a potentially significant de-escalation in a conflict that has disrupted energy markets and heightened geopolitical tensions for nearly four months. In posts on Truth Social Sunday, Trump declared that an agreement with Iran had been completed and announced plans to restore maritime traffic through the strategically vital waterway.
- The Bank of Japan is widely expected to hike rates by 25 bps to 1%, the highest level since 1995. The move would come without Governor Kazuo Ueda voting, after he was hospitalized for treatment of a hepatic cyst infection.

Consumer
- Ferrari (RACE) upgraded to Overweight from Equal Weight at Morgan Stanley and raise tgt to $438 from $388 saying the pullback in the shares overstates the company’s brand risk. Ferrari’s demand remains the strongest in special series and scarce collectibles, contends the firm.
- U.S. travel-related stocks rise in premarket trading after Washington and Tehran agreed to halt the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, easing concerns over oil-related costs. Cruise operators Norwegian Cruise Line (NCLH) and Royal Caribbean (RCL) jump along with other travel-related shares, Airbnb (ABNB), Expedia (EXPE) after the conflict has disrupted global flight routes and shut key Middle Eastern hubs.
- President Trump warned that the U.S. will “have no choice” but to apply 100% tariffs on French wine unless Paris eliminates its digital tax on American tech giants. Trump said he delivered the warning directly to French President Macron, demanding he remove the 3% tax on U.S. tech giants or face duties in the American market.

- Elon Musk said on Sunday that his rocket company, SpaceX (SPCX), could bring in $1 trillion in revenue by 2030, making the statement two days after the company went public, valuing it at over $2 trillion.
- Rocket Lab (RKLB) and Firefly Aerospace (FLY) were both upgraded to Overweight from Sector Weight at KeyBanc in the Space sector.
- Tokyo Steel Manufacturing, Japan’s top electric-arc furnace steelmaker, said that it will raise steel product prices in July by about 1% to 3%, citing higher costs and firmer steel market conditions. It is the company’s first price increase in two months and includes its main H-shaped beams

- Capital One Financial (COF) said domestic credit card net charge-off rate 4.82%, delinquency rate 3.33% as of May 31, 2026; Auto loan net charge-off rate 1.45%, delinquency rate 4.24%, nonperforming loan rate 0.62%.
- Nubank (NU) downgraded to Neutral from Buy at Citigroup and cut tgt to $13 from $18 as sees Nubank’s growth will come at the expense of monetization and profitability given its reliance on credit.
- Paychex (PAYX) upgraded to Buy from Neutral at Citigroup and raise tgt to $140 from $99 saying the company’s organic revenue growth will accelerate in fiscal 2027 for the first time in four years and cites Paychex’s bookings growth and synergies from the Paycor acquisition for the upgrade.
- China is preparing for a digital payments system to compete with USD; cross-border currency platform will be backed by central banks of Hong Kong, Thailand, UAE and Saudi Arabia.

- Context Therapeutics (CNTX) announced positive interim Phase 1 clinical data for its CLDN6 x CD3 T cell engaging bispecific antibody, CTIM-76, in advanced, late-line platinum-resistant ovarian cancer.

- Ouster (OUST) expanded its manufacturing partnership with Benchmark Enterprises (BHE) to support high-volume production of its Rev8 OS lidar sensor family; Rev8 is designed for low-cost, high-volume manufacturing with capacity exceeding 100,000 units annually.
- Meta (META), UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced a planned full ban on social media access for children under 16. The government aims to pass legislation by year-end, with implementation in spring 2027 using age verification.
